i went to a military high school that was on the beach. the first time i got drunk i confessed my love for my best friend on camera. i met lady gaga and she told me that she liked my outfit. a fat man stepped on my foot and broke three of my toes. i played danny zuko in a production of “grease”. i walked into a wedding to the theme song of “the simpsons”. i skipped first grade. the holocaust museum closed down because i left my camera in the bathroom and they thought it was a bomb. i cried during the entirety of “the village”. i received a brown belt in karate. i sat immobile on the floor of the shower for three hours after my first breakup. i got a c+ in a course on being gay. i got kicked out of the national honor society for calling someone a lesbian. i was obsessed with the spice girls and it ruined my childhood social life. i played baseball for six years. i’ve had braces. i saw the miley cyrus concert movie drunk and threw up in my popcorn bucket halfway through. i’ve had my heart broken once.

i write every so often. i bite my nails. my laugh has been described as “contagious”. i really enjoy giving tourists correct directions. i have no career path and am not bothered by that. i could survive off of red lobster biscuits. i have life epiphanies every few minutes. i want to travel. i am attracted to people that dance. my least favorite word is “indulge”. i’m terrified of finding out everything is being done in vain. i hope to have a husband, two children, and a pet named gatsby one day. i just learned how to apologize. i wear a variation of the same outfit everyday. i can be really cold sometimes. but if you get to know me, i’m a good guy.

Kevin writes about the onslaught of people dumping their pets at animal shelters bc they no longer want/can afford/desire to take care of their pets.

Just the thought of abandoning my Mr. Jack makes it hard to breathe. I don’t understand how anyone can give up their pet. I volunteered at an animal shelter last summer and some mornings, upon arrival there would be one or two dogs tied to the front door. Sometimes there would be cats in cages. Absolutely horrible.

People that say “I’m moving somewhere that doesn’t allow pets…”, if you had a child, would you move somewhere that doesn’t allow children? No. Pets are not humans, I realize this, but they are a part of your FAMILY.

I don’t really have a point, just felt like throwing my two cents in.

If people kept their and their pets living environment clean, more apartments would be pet friendly. Some landlords are putting pet deposits on top of regular deposits because of the damage people let their pets do. Let’s face it, for every tidy pet owner there are at least 8 who are friggin disgusting. You practically have to set the place on fire to clean it after them.

A pet is a child. You wouldn’t let a child pee and crap on the floor. You definitely wouldn’t leave it there and never clean it up.
